Pitch
Field of Command is about the calls that swing a fight: when to commit reserves, when to hold ground, and when to stake everything on a breakthrough. Formations, attachments, and combined arms stay at the scale the map demands.
The first campaign follows the BEF from the Phoney War to Dunkirk, then onward through later Western Front theatres. Alternate-history arcs sit beside that spine, clearly labelled. One simulation drives campaign, skirmish, and multiplayer.
Key features
- Campaign career. Persistent order of battle and service record, opening with the BEF in France, 1940.
- Alternate history. Labelled premium theatre arcs. Maps stay free; expansions add breadth, not power.
- Command altitude. One simulation from platoon fights to brigade-scale battles. Campaign grows by appointment; ranked stays fair-force.
- Formation command. Call in sections, troops, and batteries that arrive ready to fight. Every second is spent commanding the battle.
- Multiplayer. Deterministic lockstep netcode for ranked and custom play.
- Built in public. Browser preview live now, Steam/desktop next. Discord playtests and a posted roadmap.
